Becoming a Freelance Copywriter
It took years of education (English Major -> Journalism Major) and many more years of ad agency experience to get to the point where I was ready to go out on my own into the big, wide world of commerce.
I edited books (a series on How to Be a Photographer), edited magazines (natural resource management), wrote direct mail catalogs (software, apparel, floral delivery, cruises), and won ADDY and EFFIE awards for my clients (and my own office wall).
Now here I am.
Being a Freelance Copywriter
Freelancing means being ready to tackle almost any assignment in almost any medium for almost any industry. The broad range of my experience enables me to do that.
I've recently named a line of products sold in grocery stores throughout Europe, proofread continuing education courses for mental health professionals (i.e. shrinks), published a monthly e-newsletter for a complex B2B organization, did the same for a weekly internal e-newsletter, and so much more.
And, thanks to ten-plus years of working independently with creative professionals in virtually every field, I can put together a top-notch team to implement any advertising/marketing campaign you can imagine.
